Virtual Author Talk: Dorie Greenspan in Conversation with Jane Bertch

Join us for a special online event featuring five-time James Beard Award–winning author Dorie Greenspan, in conversation with Jane Bertch. Beloved for her warm storytelling and approachable recipes, Dorie will share the inspiration behind her newest book, Dorie’s Anytime Cakes—a joyful collection celebrating simple, irresistible cakes meant for every moment, from afternoon coffee to festive gatherings.

Drawing on her life between Paris and New York, Dorie will reflect on how French traditions and American kitchens shaped her “anytime” philosophy, and offer a peek into the stories and flavors that bring her cakes to life. Don’t miss this intimate conversation filled with baking wisdom, cultural insight, and plenty of sweet inspiration.

Inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America, Dorie Greenspan is the New York Times bestselling and IACP award and James Beard Award winning author of fifteen cookbooks, including Baking with Dorie, Dorie’s Cookies, Around My French Table, Baking Chez Moi, and Baking: From My Home to Yours, and a Substack with a hugely devoted following, xoxoDorie Newsletter. She lives and bakes in New York City, Westbrook, Connecticut, and Paris.

Jane Bertch is a native Chicagoan who has spent 25 years living and working in Europe, with 20 years in Paris. She spent the first part of her French experience working in financial services in an American bank based in the 8ème arrondissement of Paris. In 2009, she founded what became the top-rated leisure cooking school in Paris. Jane’s debut memoir, “The French Ingredient: Making a life in Paris one lesson at a time,” was published in April 2024.
