French for Travelers In Person Saturdays, 8:45-10:00 a.m., March 14-April 18
Planning a trip to France or another Francophone country? French for Travelers is a beginner‑level course designed to help you feel more confident using French in real‑life situations. Ideal for complete beginners or those with limited prior experience, the class introduces essential vocabulary, practical expressions, and foundational sentence structures for travel.
Through realistic scenarios—ordering in cafés, navigating transportation, checking into hotels, and handling everyday interactions—you’ll build the skills and confidence to communicate effectively and enjoy your trip even more.
The course will be led by Kitty Maynard. Kitty holds a PhD in French and has over 20 years of experience teaching French at the university level, as well as recent experience teaching with the Alliance Française. Specializing in early modern French literature, she has spent extended time in France and is passionate about making French accessible and engaging.
