Bonjour à toutes et à tous,

As we enter this festive season, we are delighted to share some recent highlights and upcoming events within the Alliance Française of Richmond.

November was an active month for us, marked by the conclusion of our fall language courses, our Annual Meeting and Thanksgiving dinner, a francophone potluck brunch chez Shotwell, and our monthly in-person French discussion group. Many of our members also enjoyed the enriching online programs offered by the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA.

Our winter session of French language classes begins on December 3rd. Whether you wish to continue your studies or begin your French language journey, you will find full details about our upcoming semester here.

On December 6th, our Family Group will be celebrating St. Nicholas' Day at the home of member Annie Smith.  You can find more details and register here.

Our monthly in-person French discussion group will meet on December 13th. We invite you to join us for relaxed and friendly conversation—open to all levels. Additional information is available here.

Our much-anticipated Fête de Noël will take place in just two weeks, on December 13th. We extend our sincere thanks to the Thomsen family for graciously hosting this beautiful and festive gathering once again. We look forward to celebrating with you. Registration for the event can be found here.

The Federation of Alliances Françaises USA has a rich program of events in the coming weeks. This week, they will host a special conversation with bestselling author Cara Black, who will present her newly released and long-awaited novel, Huguette. Details and registration can be found here.

Beginning this Thursday, the Federation will be offering a three-part series on the history and reconstruction of Notre-Dame de Paris. This series will begin with author, AF Miami board member and Paris resident Russell Kelley discussing the history of Notre Dame . Having recently met Mr. Kelley, I can assure you that his presentations are both informative and captivating. Registration details for these events are available here.
